Ex-Police Cadets
Association of NSW

Committee Meeting on 25 August Posted: Tuesday, August 11, 2009
The new executive of the Association, headed by Don Kell, will hold their first committee meeting on Tuesday 25 August at the City of Sydney RSL Club in preparation for coming events and issues need attention.

Don said he has spoken to other members of the executive and they appear keen to support another group gathering of ex-cadets possibly in November and are looking for a suitable venue.  Already the Burwood RSL has been mentioned.

He said that others had canvassed satellite social events nominating the Gold Coast, Central Coast and Wollongong as likely venues if and when they can be arranged.

In all probability members residing outside those areas will have no trouble in making the trip to join up with their old colleagues so they then can enjoy two or three big days of the year.

Another idea is the 'bring a mate' concept.  This is where former cadets have not made the effort to join or attend any of the functions over the past years and who may very well not be aware of the existence of the Association.

This would very much be the case of men who terminated their service whilst still in the cadets.

These people might still remain friends with current Association members or they know of their whereabouts and a simple phone call could see a whole new wave of former cadets either joining or coming along to one of our shows in the future.

Just a note to inform members that we are having trouble uploading images or pictures onto this site.  We have contacted our IT people who are working on the problem.
