Alan,
I am saddened to hear that you are stepping down from this most valuable position. I would certainly encourage you to continue with the work that you have been so successful with. The 75th Anniversary re-union was a fantastic event. An event that I am sure would not have been such a success without the determination from yourself and Barry Leaney and the untiring assistance of those such as Bruce Howe and Graeme Morgan and many others. I await the receipt of the book as I have not yet received it, however, I feel that this publication was a solid testament to the service that you provided. All of the ex-cadets would probably agree that to lose someone such as yourself from such a vital position within the newly formed association could probably be a catastrophic situation. Please reconsider you decision to stand down for a little while longer. I have only just joined the association and certainly look forward to more news and re-unions, however, I reside in Queensland and would find it hard to become involved if it weren't for people such as yourself sending out e-mails and contacting people. Please keep doing this great work!
On another note, I would like to enquire if you received my last e-mail regarding the photos of the last class to have a passing out parade and the request for photos (copies) of this group. I would love to get a copy of the other class (class 7) with the names below.
Love to hear further from you

Hi Alan
Just a short note to say congratulations on an outstanding job. There is no doubt that you took on a major task, which has required a lot of personal time and sacrifice. The achievements capped off by the 75th Anniversary Luncheon
have been tremendous. What a day. I have heard nothing but praise for the function.
Once again Alan congratulations and I look forward to see you again in the future. Perhaps you might have a bit more time to relax and enjoy a 'cool one'.
Best Wishes
